Smoked Tofu

This recipe is easy but it is the best if you prepare the tofu the day before. It is nice to leave it in the fridge over night to marinate before baking.

Smoked Tofu

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of firm tofu, drained and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon  hickory liquid smoke
  • 3 teaspoons  water
  • 1 teaspoon Agave
  • 1 teaspoon  molasses
  • 1 teaspoon liquid aminos (soy sauce arternative)
  • Seasonings: salt,paper, paprika, garlic, basil, turmeric etc.

No-Bake Bars

As a child my mom used to make similar bars, but shaped in a ball. This is quite sweet treat but addictive as well.

My version is changed to vegan. I am not sure what I should call those bars, so for now they are just No-Bake Bars. (You can leave a suggestion in the comments for a name 😉

No-Bake Bars

Ingredients:

3/4 cup of caramel sauce (recipe here)

2-3 spoons of peanut butter

3/4 cup of shredded coconuts (optional)

3 cups of prepared rice ( gluten-free crispy rice cereal are the same thing)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Spray a 9×13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.

There are so many recipes for caramel sauce, but I came out with this easy recipe. It is vegan and gluten free. And it is really good.

1 can of extra thick and rich coconut cream (I used Trader Joe’s Brand, 14oz (414 ml)-Don’t shake the can!
